Planning my layout at Quilt Retreat

In 2024 I participated in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge at So Scrappy. Among the sewing I did for that was 6 log cabin blocks in each of a bunch of colors. I finally figured out how to put them all together. I got the center of the top laid out and put together while I was at Fall Quilt Retreat. Having a bunch of quilters around to give me advice on how to mix-and-match the units was great. More eyes on the project resulted in a really well-balanced design.

I think a border of piano keys will set this off beautifully so that is the next step when I get back to this project.
