30/30 Challenge - Day 28

Tree in Winter with a 3rd place
I spent at least 30 minutes on sewing projects each day this week and last weekend (Saturday and Sunday) were super-quilty as I spent them at my Guild's quilt show. One of my quilts, Tree in Winter, won 3rd place in the miniatures category (viewer's choice) which was cool. For the record, it is hanging upside down.

Despite sewing 30 minutes each day I didn't really accomplish much. I worked on hand sewing bindings which may be done some day; I decided on fabrics for a schnibble (Plan C from 2008) I will be starting soon; I started quilting my Guild mystery quilt and I finished another paper pieced circle (I will put a picture of it on my 30/30 wrap up post).

  1. congratulations!!!! I think you accomplished a lot, just maybe not things that show easily. I would say any hand binding was a great accomplishment, because it is some thing I hate to do!!!

  2. That's pretty awesome that your mini quilt won 3rd place in viewer's choice and it was hanging up-side down :) Imagine maybe it would have gotten 2nd if they had put it up the correct way, lol.
