Oh, Mary! Your star block is amazing! What goes in the center? Is it appliqued on top? Hope you have a wonderful time at the AGQ. Sounds like it will be sew much fun! Speaking of fun... Glad to hear you are joining in the Triangle Quilt Along!!!
Thanks! The center of the block is a circle with a swirl in it that you applique over the raw edges. I have 48 different fabrics + the background going into these blocks, with 3 repeats of each fabric including in a center swirl, so I am waiting until I have all the blocks paper pieced and will then decide how to pair off the fabrics for swirls.
Good work Mary. It's fun to wraps up some things and begin again. I saw the triangle QAL.
Oh wonderful - you're doing the TAL, too, Mary? I'm excited to see what everyone does for that : ) Looks like you had a great week of projects - the circle is beautiful!
That is beautiful paper piecing and so many fabrics are going in to it, just lovely are they batiks?
Some are batiks, but not all, probably about 1/3 are batik and the rest are assorted other stuff I liked.
